Don't Feed the Howndders!

Don't ever, ever feed a howndder. These are pleasant and friendly creatures. However, if you make the mistake of throwing one a scrap of food it will follow you night and day begging for more, at first politely but with increasing intensity. You cannot hide from or outrun them, as they are the greatest trackers on the continent. Several of them followed us back to our airship and we spent several hours shooing them away. It was quite sad to hear them howl as we lifted away. One industrious howndder held onto a gondola robe but was shaken loose so he wouldn’t fall to his death when we lifted higher.

Wow Tom..ahem...Gnemo? I've been bouncing between both your blogs...fantastic work here. For some reason this sketch really stopped me in my tracks, and I'm not sure why. All the new posts have great work in them.
Here's to a great 2008 sir. Thank you for the inspiration!

A belated thanks to all.

Yes, howndders are like me with Gnemo. I never let go. Now that I've completed my two instructional books and all the work that piled up while I was working on them I'm back on my airship seeking future aerial exploration and adventure.

Thanks for writing this. I really feel as though I know so much more about this than I did before. Your blog really brought some things to light that I never would have thought about before reading it. You should continue this, I’m sure most people would agree you’ve got a gift.
